Hello all! My name is Jason Johnson. I have been a professional artist/illustrator for 12 years. Ever since I was very young I have been obsessed with art and drawing, slowly developing my skills through many hours of hard work and dedication. As a teenager I became highly interested in comic books and soon after sought a career in that field. When I graduated from high school, I was accepted as an intern for Wildstorm/Image comics(later became part of DC Comics)in San Diego working for Jim Lee of X-men fame. Shortly afterward I relocated to NYC to expand my business horizons as well as increase my skills. I'm back in SD now doing concept art for Sony Online Entertainment. Some of my past clients include Stuff Magazine, Maxim Magazine, DC Comics, Marvel Comics, Janet Sterling Silver Design, and Sandy Shores Greeting Cards. Please browse through my portfolio here or at artwanted.com/jasjohnson, and also check out my blog at [link] For work or commissions email me at j_johnson_5@hotmail.com. I hope you enjoy my artwork as much as I enjoy creating it.

Dude, I'm so friggin jealous that you got in WS straight out of HS. That must of been amazing that's something I dream about all the time. But now their's another option with Turner at Aspen comics. Have you checked J.J.'s Dynamix #1 that came out today? I thought it was very good. I actually think the interior is better than the cover.

Yeah, it took a lot of hard work and submitting many submissions to get in, but eventually I was accepted. Persistence and hard work pays off(some skill helps)! I haven't seen it put together yet, but JJ showed me most of the pages a while back, sweet stuff. JJ and I were accepted as interns at around the same time, we go way back. Laters!
